Swimming and other water based activities are excellent fitness choice
for any age and level, including people with physical limitations or people
who find other forms of fitness activities unpleasant, uncomfortable,
and even painful. Since every muscle group is recruited in swimming, the
benefits of it include building your cardiovascular fitness, endurance,
flexibility, and because of the increased water resistance compared to
air it helps to build muscular strength.
